Purpose

The purpose of this blog is to recommend great places to eat in Cincinnati. I know when I go out to eat I want to make sure that the food is excellent and the prices are reasonable for what I am paying for. I hate going out to eat at a place where I'm paying too much for my meal and the service is terrible.

So, I will recommend amazing places to eat, with great service and great food. I hope you all like the places I blog about and have the chance to go check them out. I will also ask everyone what their favorite place to eat in Cincinnati!

  1. Sound like a good blog idea!
My favorite place to eat is Moe's Southwest Grill in Mason. I'm a vegetarian, so it can be difficult to find good, reasonably-priced food around Cincinnati, but Moe's is a definite staple for me. It's similar to Chipotle, but they happen to have the BEST queso dip in the world and I think you get more food for the price. You should check it out if you haven't already!

  2. Especially as college students, we can't afford to not be choosy when we go out to eat. I am also a vegetarian, and veg fare can be difficult to find, especially for a reasonable price. Melt in Northside is delicious, though! Findlay Market isn't a restaurant, but it does have lots of restaurant booths set up and it's a great place to find locally-grown produce, etc. So much fun in the springtime!

It would be cool if your posts had some kind of rating or grade for each restaurant that was broken down by different factors, like price, service, healthy options, etc.

  3. Well, since I'm a life-long West-Sider I think it's practically religion to go to Price Hill Chili. If you can find someone who grew up on the West Side of town and hasn't been to PHC, I'd be more than surprised.

My favorite dish at Price Hill Chili isn't the chili surprisingly. A lot of people get their 3-ways and coneys, but I can't remember the last time I went to PHC and didn't get breakfast.

Any hour of the day they'll serve anything. I like the omelets, especially the goetta and cheese omelet.

  5. Since we seem to be naming our favorite cheap food places, I've got the best one. J&J Restaurant on Glenway. Their sandwiches are the biggest I have ever seen (I'm not kidding), and they are all like $5. And I'm not even a west sider.

  6. Since we're practically doing the same thing, maybe we can help each other out! I've always been partial to Camp Washington Chili, just a hop, skip and a jump away from UC. Good food, kind servers and they're open 24 hours a day, six days a week!

Also, you have to try Gas Light Café in Pleasant Ridge, they have an absolutely phenomenal burger there, and you really get your bang for your buck!

  13. My recommendation: Shanghai Mama's at midnight on a Friday night. The best crowd watching in the city.
